While under water, use a sharp knife or floral clippers to cut 1 inch off the end of each stem at a 45 degree angle.
Fill the vase with warm water and the amount of floral preservatives indicated on packet instructions.
Remove any leaves that will be underwater.
Place your arrangement in a cool place away from direct sunlight, radiators, heat vents, drafts, and fresh fruit.
For maximum longevity change the water daily.
