Nick
Co-Founder and Head of Making It Look Good
Nick showed up to mow lawns in 2016 and never really left — and honestly, everyone's better for it. With a background in retail and a shared obsession with plants, he was the missing piece Jeff didn't know he needed. Together they went from a two-man crew to a full-scale operation, and when the idea for the store came up over pandemic plant shopping, Nick was already doing the math.
He's the reason the shop feels the way it does — thoughtfully designed, carefully curated, and always evolving. Nick's the one thinking three seasons ahead, hunting down the next great product, and making sure the space looks like somewhere you actually want to spend an afternoon. (And maybe drop some money on a plant you absolutely did not need.)
When he's not sourcing inventory or perfecting a display, he's outside — in the garden, on the slopes, or checking out another plant shop and calling it a day trip.
Expertise: Retail Experience, Store Design, Talking People Into One More Plant
Fun fact: Nick once built and stocked an entire store in five months. He's still not entirely sure how.
Jeff
Co-Founder & Chief of Getting Things Done
Jeff's the guy who handed Nick a lawn mower in the spring of 2016 and accidentally started a business empire. As the founder of JP's Cutting Edge, he's spent years with his head in the dirt — literally — building something from the ground up, one lawn at a time. What started as two guys, seven days a week, turned into full crews and a whole operation before either of them had time to look up.
When the pandemic hit and the plant shelves were bare, Nick and Jeff saw a gap and did what he always does: decided to fill it. Five months from idea to open doors. It took many long nights, weekends, and a whole lot of faith. He'll be the first to tell you the early days were scrappy — but he'll also be the first to say he wouldn't change a thing.
When he's not building the next display for the store or rearranging the shop floor at midnight, you'll find Jeff on a ski slope somewhere in the northeast, in his own garden, or yelling at a hockey game.

Fun fact: Jeff has visited more plant stores on vacation than most people visit on purpose. He calls it research.
Milo
Senior Nap Consultant
Don't let the Dalmatian spots fool you — Milo brings a unique kind of strategic vision to the team. As our Senior Nap Consultant, Milo has logged more hours of horizontal research than any other member of the organization, and he's not slowing down anytime soon.
Known for his boundless enthusiasm, selective listening, and an uncanny ability to knock your coffee off the desk at the worst possible moment, Milo keeps the office on its toes — literally. He approaches every challenge with the same philosophy: sprint at full speed, crash into something, shake it off, repeat.
When he's not auditing the break room floor for crumbs or barking at the printer for no apparent reason, Milo is hard at work modeling the restorative power of a well-timed snooze. His napping methodology is unmatched, and his commitment to finding the sunniest patch on the office carpet is nothing short of inspirational.
Expertise: Zoomies Management, Couch Optimization, Morale Disruption (the fun kind)
Fun fact: Spot once attended three Zoom calls without anyone noticing. He considers this his greatest professional achievement.
